It’s About Timing (IAT) is owned and operated by Gabe and Andrea Walker. We are a veteran owned small business focused on timing events and races here in the Texas panhandle. Both of us are avid runners/walkers/marathoners/Ultramarathoners, we have years of experience working different duties at races from registration, data entry, finish line setup and teardown, and aide stations, just to name a few. Although we are newer to the timing industry, we are eager and driven to help you have a successful race and event. If you already have an established race/event, great, we’d love to have your business to support your requirements.

With that said, even the best equipment is only as good as the people operating it. We believe IAT separates itself from other timing entities by going the extra mile (no pun intended) and offering help with registration and organization of your event, course location scouting and design, course marking, and of course timing the event itself. We understand you only get one chance to make a good impression with your athletes. This is why we decided to go with the one stop shop approach and saying we’re all in if you need it, instead of a list of things we don’t offer. We have developed a triple redundant backup system utilizing two computerized methods and a manual method to insure accurate results. We understand that results must be posted and must be accurate, no matter what. After all, It’s About Timing. A successful race is the culmination of several smaller events to include registration, course logistics, volunteer coordination, packet pick up, awards and post- race activities.

Race timing plays an important role in the successful execution of each of these areas just as they all play a part in the overall accuracy of the results.  In short, we believe timing an event means a lot more than just showing up on race day, setting up the equipment and printing out results. It is a partnership between IAT and the race director with the goal being a great racing experience for the participant.
